Our faith-based infant, toddler, preschool, and Pre-K/T-K programs are play-focused year-round programs designed for children ages 6 weeks-6 years. Located at St. Joseph's Church Parish Center in Northwood, we invite all children of our surrounding community to come play and learn with us! A religious affiliation is not required to attend.
We have developed our programs to focus on many aspects of Kindergarten readiness. Utilizing environmental and hands-on learning techniques in a natural learning environment, we offer social, emotional, spiritual, and academic support to future Kindergartners during our time together.
Using developmentally appropriate practice and an emergent curriculum, we structure a format suitable for engaging learning. We share our time as both a group and as individuals, focusing on gross and fine motor skills, letter recognition and writing, emergent literacy skills, creative expression through art, music, and movement, social-emotional skills, engaging appropriately with peers and teachers as well as regulating emotions effectively, and cognitive skills such as early numeracy concepts, science and social studies, and exploring a variety of approaches to learning.
Our emergent curriculum incorporates the NH Early Learning Standards, the "Learning Without Tears" writing format, "God's Little Explorers" Faith-based lessons and activities, character development, mindfulness techniques, and appropriate classroom behavior skills such as listening and following directions, using positive virtues and manners, playground and classroom safety, and learning to wait our turn! Please see our Curriculum Summary below:

Holistic Child Care
At Little Blessings, we are committed to providing a nurturing environment that supports the whole child - mind, body, and spirit. Our holistic approach to child care ensures that every child thrives in a healthy, safe, and engaging atmosphere.
Our Commitment to Healthy Environments
We prioritize the health and safety of your child by cleaning with non-toxic products throughout our facility. This means a safer space for children to explore, learn, and play without exposure to harmful chemicals.
Nutrition by Family Choice
We believe that families know their child's nutritional needs best. That's why we allow families to provide their own choice of snacks and meals for their child. This approach supports dietary preferences, allergies, cultural foods, and family routines.
Whole-Child Development
Our curriculum and care philosophy focus on the complete development of each child:
- Mind: Cognitive growth through age-appropriate learning activities, problem-solving, and curiosity-driven exploration
- Body: Physical development through active play, motor skill activities, and healthy habits
- Spirit: Faith, character development, values education, mindfulness, and emotional well-being
Our Promise to Families
Every child in our care deserves to be healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged. We create opportunities for growth while providing the nurturing care that gives children confidence to explore their potential.
This foundation prepares children for long-term success as life-long learners, equipping them with the skills, resilience, and love of learning they need to thrive in Kindergarten and beyond.
